Hi, I’m Camilla Grosso! I’m 24 years old, originally from Cape Elizabeth, and now living in South Portland. I’m so honored to be named Miss Maine for America Strong 2025, and I’m excited to share a little more about myself and the journey that brought me here.
Growing up, I was a long-distance runner through middle school, high school, and college. While I’ve since hung up my running shoes, I carry with me everything the sport taught me, dedication, discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of personal growth.
After running, I found my true calling as a hairstylist. I absolutely love helping my clients look and feel their best—it’s such a special thing to know that I’m making a positive impact on how someone feels, both inside and out. I’ve found so much joy in connecting with each person who sits in my chair. Being part of the Shine team has been such a gift. I’ve learned so much from my mentors, Jenna and Emily, and feel truly fortunate to work alongside such a talented, supportive team. I’m incredibly grateful to be surrounded by strong, inspiring women every day.
These days, when I’m not at the salon, you’ll find me spending time with my friends and family, soaking up the sun at the beach, or babysitting two of my favorite little ones, Char and Wes. I’m also passionate about community and connection and am currently looking for sponsors who share my vision and want to be part of this exciting journey.
Miss Maine for America Strong was actually my very first pageant and honestly, I’ve loved every second of it! The experience has been so much more than I ever expected, and I can’t wait to meet more incredible people and continue growing within this community.
In today’s world, where the superficial can so easily distract us, I believe it’s more important than ever to celebrate the qualities that make us unique. Through my platform, Confidence Beyond the Mirror, I hope to inspire others to embrace their individuality and grow their confidence in whatever way feels most authentic to them. True beauty starts from within, and it’s our differences that deserve to shine.
